Finally, device testing tools at an affordable price! The PTI Pleiades is a self-contained system (an external SCSI case) for testing, burn-in and programming of IDE/ATA, SCSI and FCAL disk drives.
 
IDEAL APPLICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Quality Assurance Device screening - Test incoming, outgoing, returned or refurbished storage peripherals.
  • Device Configuration - configure mode pages, download firmware, test and exercise drives.
  • Performance Device Screening - Select drives based upon transfer rate performance, number of defects, etc.
  • Long-term testing - Test devices for long term reliability.
  • Device Flexibility - Accomodates disk, tape and optical drives. Can be joined together for 7 IDE/ATA, 14 SCSI, or 126 Fibre Channel Devices.
The Pleiades enclosure provides mounting, power, cooling, and interface solutions for testing up to seven devices per enclosure. Devices are safely seated, connected, held firmly in place and ready for test in seconds on adjustable test trays designed to accommodate "raw" drives or drives mounted in cans destined for "hot-swap" type enclosures. And Pleiades’ unique design includes interchangeable interposers (change interfaces in the field!), easy access for field replaceable power supplies, tools, cables, etc. and complete access to all components.
 
Pleiades can be ordered for SCSI, FCAL or IDE/ATA devices. Pleiades can accommodate all of your testing requirements - including our exclusive IDE/ATA drive converter!
